FY 2008 INFOLINK Advocacy Committee

Primary Charges for Fiscal Year 2007-2008:
  1. Offer trustees training regionally in collaboration with the New Jersey Library Trustees Association and other library organizations.
  2. INFOLINK staff with the Advocacy Committee will develop and offer an advocacy initiative for member libraries that complements the initiatives presented by the NJ State Library [Benchmark in Strategic Plan for FY08 ].
  3. INFOLINK staff with the Advocacy Committee offer training on “financial fluency” – i.e., how to present financial realities to constituencies, and how to negotiate budgets in a multi-type library environment – with documentation of implementation and impact at the local level [Benchmark in Strategic Plan for FY08 ].
