FY 2009 INFOLINK Diversity Committee

Primary Charges for Fiscal Year 2008-2009:
  1. INFOLINK staff with the Diversity and Planning Committees will assist members to redefine library services to older adults by replicating and/or revising the Senior Spaces project for at least five libraries. This will include both contracts with up to 10 member libraries and at least one workshop for the membership on: Your Community is Aging! Is Your Library Ready?

  2. INFOLINK staff will foster partnerships in local communities and among libraries by replicating and/or revising the Welcoming Library Spaces among the Autism Community and their Families project for at least five multi-type libraries.

  3. INFOLINK staff with the Diversity Committee will evaluate the impact of the Diversity Initiative Series with the intent to replicate and/or revise it for up to ten libraries.

  4. INFOLINK staff with the Diversity Committee will develop and offer a workshop for at least 30 multi-type librarians on GLBT issues (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) which will include library programming, collection development and partnerships with GLBT organizations such as SAGE and PFLAG.
