FY 2009 INFOLINK Planning Committee
Primary Charges for Fiscal Year 2008-2009:
- Monitor the implementation of the FY2009 activities including a review of incubator proposals.
- INFOLINK staff with the Planning Committee will complete the first INFOLINK SWAP program and assess its value to the membership. We will continue the program as warranted.
- INFOLINK staff with the Planning Committee will develop and conduct a miniseries on How to Foster Change and Innovation in Libraries. Seeing ourselves as our customers see us eliminates a “silo mentality” and in-house departmental battles. By focusing on change “as a process” and how it can be applied to a variety of different innovations, we intend to provide a model for libraries of all types to use as well as a network of colleagues to support each other.
- INFOLINK staff with the Diversity and Planning Committees will assist members to redefine library services to older adults by replicating and/or revising the Senior Spaces project for at least five libraries. This will include both contracts with up to 10 member libraries and at least one workshop for the membership on: Your Community is Aging! Is Your Library Ready?
- Develop and recommend activities for FY2010 including recommendation of a planning process to update the strategic plan during FY2010.
