The INFOLINK Executive Board, at its April, 2007 meeting, renewed the contract
for Book Evaluation Services coordinated by Kearny High School Library, Kearny
School District. The Book Evaluation contract managers are: Sally Roessler -
smroessler@yahoo.com (Kearny High School,
Kearny) and Melody Connell - maclibrary@yahoo.com
(Garfield School, Kearny).
Through the Book Evaluation Program, Librarians and Media Specialists get the opportunity to:
- Review Juvenile and YA New Releases.
- Add reviewed titles to their collections.
- Network with peers as reviews are shared and discussed.
- Receive time saving purchasing information through reviews and discussions.
- Earn up to 2 CEUs per Book Evaluation meeting
Who can attend? All professional staff from INFOLINK member
libraries and media centers are invited to participate and attend meetings.
General Meetings (FY 2008)
(Both Juvenile and Young Adult books will be reviewed and previewed.)
Tuesdays
4:00pm (for refreshments and preview new books)
4:30pm-6:30pm (select books for review and presentation of reviews)
